LimeGreen Box   Cyan Box   DarkOliveGreen Box   MediumTurquoise Box   Aqua Box   MediumAquamarine Box   MediumOrchid Box   Blue Box  times     Black Box Box  equals     SeaGreen Box   LimeGreen Box   Cyan Box   DarkOliveGreen Box   MediumTurquoise Box   Aqua Box   MediumAquamarine Box   MediumOrchid Box

We start with eight boxes, multiply by one box, and now still have eight boxes.

Here's another example:

SlateBlue Box   SpringGreen Box   MediumVioletRed Box   DarkOrchid Box   Olive Box   DarkSlateBlue Box   SkyBlue Box   Coral Box  times     Black Box Box   Black Box Box  equals     SlateBlue Box   SpringGreen Box   MediumVioletRed Box   DarkOrchid Box   Olive Box   DarkSlateBlue Box   SkyBlue Box   Coral Box   SlateBlue Box   SpringGreen Box   MediumVioletRed Box   DarkOrchid Box   Olive Box   DarkSlateBlue Box   SkyBlue Box   Coral Box

We start with eight boxes, multiply by two boxes, and now have sixteen boxes. We take our eight boxes two times to get sixteen boxes:

SlateBlue Box   SpringGreen Box   MediumVioletRed Box   DarkOrchid Box   Olive Box   DarkSlateBlue Box   SkyBlue Box   Coral Box    SlateBlue Box   SpringGreen Box   MediumVioletRed Box   DarkOrchid Box   Olive Box   DarkSlateBlue Box   SkyBlue Box   Coral Box

We start with eight boxes, multiply by three boxes, and now have twenty-four boxes. We take our eight boxes three times to get twenty-four boxes:

MediumPurple Box   Maroon Box   DarkTurquoise Box   CornflowerBlue Box   MediumSlateBlue Box   Teal Box   BurlyWood Box   Gold Box    MediumPurple Box   Maroon Box   DarkTurquoise Box   CornflowerBlue Box   MediumSlateBlue Box   Teal Box   BurlyWood Box   Gold Box    MediumPurple Box   Maroon Box   DarkTurquoise Box   CornflowerBlue Box   MediumSlateBlue Box   Teal Box   BurlyWood Box   Gold Box

In order to do basic multiplication, you must memorize some equations but fear not: FoxyMath will help you! When you are finished with this lesson, you will know the following equations:

8×1 = 8
8×2 = 16
8×3 = 24
8×4 = 32
8×5 = 40
8×6 = 48
8×7 = 56
8×8 = 64
8×9 = 72
8×10 = 80
8×11 = 88
8×12 = 96

The following exercise will help you learn the above equations and what they mean. Please take your time: take whatever time you need to learn the material.
