Indigo Box   SteelBlue Box   Sienna Box   DarkKhaki Box   Thistle Box   YellowGreen Box   DarkGoldenrod Box   Magenta Box  times     Black Box Box  equals     Khaki Box   Indigo Box   SteelBlue Box   Sienna Box   DarkKhaki Box   Thistle Box   YellowGreen Box   DarkGoldenrod Box

We start with eight boxes, multiply by one box, and now still have eight boxes.

Here's another example:

CadetBlue Box   Plum Box   Goldenrod Box   MediumSlateBlue Box   DarkSlateBlue Box   DarkTurquoise Box   DodgerBlue Box   Aqua Box  times     Black Box Box   Black Box Box  equals     CadetBlue Box   Plum Box   Goldenrod Box   MediumSlateBlue Box   DarkSlateBlue Box   DarkTurquoise Box   DodgerBlue Box   Aqua Box   CadetBlue Box   Plum Box   Goldenrod Box   MediumSlateBlue Box   DarkSlateBlue Box   DarkTurquoise Box   DodgerBlue Box   Aqua Box

We start with eight boxes, multiply by two boxes, and now have sixteen boxes. We take our eight boxes two times to get sixteen boxes:

CadetBlue Box   Plum Box   Goldenrod Box   MediumSlateBlue Box   DarkSlateBlue Box   DarkTurquoise Box   DodgerBlue Box   Aqua Box    CadetBlue Box   Plum Box   Goldenrod Box   MediumSlateBlue Box   DarkSlateBlue Box   DarkTurquoise Box   DodgerBlue Box   Aqua Box

We start with eight boxes, multiply by three boxes, and now have twenty-four boxes. We take our eight boxes three times to get twenty-four boxes:

CornflowerBlue Box   DarkCyan Box   OliveDrab Box   Peru Box   MediumAquamarine Box   MediumTurquoise Box   Green Box   DarkMagenta Box    CornflowerBlue Box   DarkCyan Box   OliveDrab Box   Peru Box   MediumAquamarine Box   MediumTurquoise Box   Green Box   DarkMagenta Box    CornflowerBlue Box   DarkCyan Box   OliveDrab Box   Peru Box   MediumAquamarine Box   MediumTurquoise Box   Green Box   DarkMagenta Box

In order to do basic multiplication, you must memorize some equations but fear not: FoxyMath will help you! When you are finished with this lesson, you will know the following equations:

8×1 = 8
8×2 = 16
8×3 = 24
8×4 = 32
8×5 = 40
8×6 = 48
8×7 = 56
8×8 = 64
8×9 = 72
8×10 = 80
8×11 = 88
8×12 = 96

The following exercise will help you learn the above equations and what they mean. Please take your time: take whatever time you need to learn the material.
