Thistle Box   MediumSpringGreen Box   Wheat Box   DarkOrange Box   DarkCyan Box   YellowGreen Box   DarkMagenta Box   PowderBlue Box  times     Black Box Box  equals     Empty Box   Thistle Box   MediumSpringGreen Box   Wheat Box   DarkOrange Box   DarkCyan Box   YellowGreen Box   DarkMagenta Box

We start with eight boxes, multiply by one box, and now still have eight boxes.

Here's another example:

MidnightBlue Box   DeepPink Box   Aqua Box   Gold Box   Orchid Box   LawnGreen Box   MediumVioletRed Box   Green Box  times     Black Box Box   Black Box Box  equals     MidnightBlue Box   DeepPink Box   Aqua Box   Gold Box   Orchid Box   LawnGreen Box   MediumVioletRed Box   Green Box   MidnightBlue Box   DeepPink Box   Aqua Box   Gold Box   Orchid Box   LawnGreen Box   MediumVioletRed Box   Green Box

We start with eight boxes, multiply by two boxes, and now have sixteen boxes. We take our eight boxes two times to get sixteen boxes:

MidnightBlue Box   DeepPink Box   Aqua Box   Gold Box   Orchid Box   LawnGreen Box   MediumVioletRed Box   Green Box    MidnightBlue Box   DeepPink Box   Aqua Box   Gold Box   Orchid Box   LawnGreen Box   MediumVioletRed Box   Green Box

We start with eight boxes, multiply by three boxes, and now have twenty-four boxes. We take our eight boxes three times to get twenty-four boxes:

Pink Box   MediumSlateBlue Box   BlueViolet Box   SeaGreen Box   GreenYellow Box   Coral Box   RosyBrown Box   MediumOrchid Box    Pink Box   MediumSlateBlue Box   BlueViolet Box   SeaGreen Box   GreenYellow Box   Coral Box   RosyBrown Box   MediumOrchid Box    Pink Box   MediumSlateBlue Box   BlueViolet Box   SeaGreen Box   GreenYellow Box   Coral Box   RosyBrown Box   MediumOrchid Box

In order to do basic multiplication, you must memorize some equations but fear not: FoxyMath will help you! When you are finished with this lesson, you will know the following equations:

8×1 = 8
8×2 = 16
8×3 = 24
8×4 = 32
8×5 = 40
8×6 = 48
8×7 = 56
8×8 = 64
8×9 = 72
8×10 = 80
8×11 = 88
8×12 = 96

The following exercise will help you learn the above equations and what they mean. Please take your time: take whatever time you need to learn the material.
