Basic Division Lesson 12: Number 12

We start with twenty-four boxes. We divide these twenty-four boxes by twelve. This means: how many groups of twelve can we make with the twenty-four boxes that we have? Answer: 2.

Here's another example:

We start with eighty-four boxes. We divide these eighty-four boxes by twelve. This means: how many groups of twelve can we make with the eighty-four boxes that we have? Answer: 7.

Try this problem.

We start with one hundred forty-four boxes. We divide these one hundred forty-four boxes by twelve. This means: how many groups of twelve can we make with the one hundred forty-four boxes that we have? Answer: 12.
